Description: A storm passes quickly through an empty field across the street from my home. From my front porch I was able to catch this bolt of lightning tearing through the night sky. I was a little afraid of the lightning, so I didn't really have the best position I could of had. Not a bad a shot for lightning, I feel a little more secure in photographing lightning.
Gear: Canon Rebel T2i, 18 - 55 mm lens.

whoa........... Gorgeous portrait. I've never seen a reddish egret. I'm about to move to Lakeland, FLA. this Summer. I hope to see one of these beauties first hand. So sad to know this one cannot...
