Description: Highlands, NC is one of my favorite places to visit and landscapes like this are one of the reasons why. "Rhodes Big View" area offers a great view of Whitesides Mountain and the valley below at any given time, but it is especially striking at sunrise. The dynamic sky over the fog filled valleys in the golden light of early morning really made this scene special in my opinion.
