Green Dragonfly

  • Title: Green Dragonfly
  • State/Province/Region: Kansas
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Andover
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Description: It is challenging enough to shoot dragonflies but with the extreme draught going on in Kansas this year and all the ponds drying up because of it, the difficulty to find the fast moving creatures is really hard. I am lucky enough to have a friend with a manmade pond that has attracted scores of them this year. Instead of chasing them I find a favorite bush or resting place they use and wait. I chose this one lone dying leaf because of the back ground and was lucky enough to capture a few shots of this green dragon fly. F/6.3, 1/60 sec , ISO 100.

How do you know that it doesn't just like a clean beach uncluttered with human waste?
