Brief Directions: Approximately 9 miles north of Williston, North Dakota on Highway 2 and 85, then west and northwest along a combination of gravel roads.
Best Season: Winter
Description: This was taken in the late afternoon on a frigid day as only a North Dakota February can offer. It was roughly 20 degrees below zero when I returned to these trees, which I have photographed many times in many seasons. The title comes from the combination of the three trees, and the severe below zero temperature.
Gear: Nikon D5000, Nikkor AF-S 28-300mm 1:3.5-5.6G

whoa........... Gorgeous portrait. I've never seen a reddish egret. I'm about to move to Lakeland, FLA. this Summer. I hope to see one of these beauties first hand. So sad to know this one cannot...
