Description: Blue Pool is part of the McKenzie River and is filled where the river re-emerges from a short underground section. A popular Mt. Biking and hiking trail, but not difficult to reach via a short 2 mile hike from the trail head. For this shot I began my hike when it was still nearly dark out so that I could get to the pool before the sun hit the trees. It is an equally spectacular place in the afternoon as the sun hits the water and creates a beautiful, clear turquoise color.
