  • Title: "dream Weaver"
  • State/Province/Region: Oregon
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Lithia Park
  • Nearest Town: Ashland
  • Notes: Placed camera and tripod flat on ground to get effect of light filtering through from above. Got up close and used wide angle lens to include interesting roots at the base of tree.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Description: Backlit during the "magic hour", the dreamy golden light filtering through the golden leaves of the Laceleaf Japanese Maple worked well to highlight the silhouette of the branches weaving around in artistic style.
  • Gear: Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF 17-40 mm L , Circular Polarizer, Tripod

Thanks Laura!! I walked into this little slot canyon till it was completely dark and thought I'd sort of found nothing much…then turned around and saw THIS. I was gem for sure.

Wow, just beautiful! The light is perfect and I love the curve of the tree and the lines of the canyon wall.
