Devil's Elbow State Park

  • Title: Devil's Elbow State Park
  • State/Province/Region: Oregon
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Hwy 101
  • Nearest Town: Florence
  • Brief Directions: From Florence head north on Hwy 101 for 13 miles. There will be a sign marking the park but be aware as the highway windy and it's easy to miss the turn. It will be on your left.
  • Notes: This location was a pleasant surprise. We wanted a nice sunset location and were staying in Florence. The beach was quiet and fairly deserted. The rocky coastline in this area offers nice sunset silhouettes. If you're staying in Florence and want a nice sunset location to shoot, I highly recommend this one.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Gear: Tripod, ND filter, grad ND filter

Thanks Laura!! I walked into this little slot canyon till it was completely dark and thought I'd sort of found nothing much…then turned around and saw THIS. I was gem for sure.

Wow, just beautiful! The light is perfect and I love the curve of the tree and the lines of the canyon wall.
