Columbia River Gorge

  • Title: Columbia River Gorge
  • State/Province/Region: Oregon
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: I-84 East
  • Nearest Town: Troutdale
  • Brief Directions: I-84 east from Portland, exit Multnomah Falls viewing area.
  • Notes: Wisendanger (plunge) and Fairy (cascade) Falls are located on the Wahkeena /Multnomah Falls loop trail, approx. 5 mile round trip. I find it best to park at Multnomah Falls and hike the short connector trail along the Historic Hwy to start up at Wahkeena Falls. This loop trail showcases Upper and Lower Wahkeena, Fairy, Ecola, Wisendanger and Multnomah Falls. The variety of trail junctions on this loop can be confusing, so having a map is beneficial.
