- Description: If you viewed the abstract of the fire sparks next to this photo, you may see some similarities. I took a slice of a similar photo where the fire was white hot and with a long exposure captured the sparks as streak in the black night sky. I took the slice and worked in into this mandala in photo shop. What is a Mandala you ask? I like this definition from the mandalaproject.org: The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean "circle," a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself--a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds.
