Make Your Own Path

  • Title: Make Your Own Path
  • State/Province/Region: Pennsylvania
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Yellow Creek State Park
  • Nearest Town: Indiana
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: Sometimes you need to step off the beaten path to look for those photo opportunities that others have missed. I walked down the side of the hill to get to this spot, and the sun had reached the position I had been waiting for. At first I had 28-200mm Lens, then I switched to the 18-55mm kit lens. Still when I viewed the photo, I felt closed in. There was no "room" in the photo. So back to the bag I went, and grabbed my newly purchased Canon 10-22mm EF-S lens. As soon as I saw the result on the LCD I knew I had found the composition and lens needed. This is a three bracket HDR image, merged with Photomatix v4.1.4 with slight sharpening done with Photoshop CS6
