Wood Duck Pair In A Mating Ritual

  • Title: Wood Duck Pair In A Mating Ritual
  • State/Province/Region: Pennsylvania
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Hamarville
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Description: There's a small wetlands area behind a shopping center here. This is where I found this wood duck pair along with some other waterfowl. The water was actually rather high which gave me a chance to get a little closer than I would have normally gotten to a wary wood duck.
  • Gear: Nikon P3 attached to a Nikon Ed50 spotting scope in a digiscope arrangement

Love your shot. Takes me back to my youth on the farm, I can smell the corn field.

Thank you very much, Lorenzo! I was pretty happy to see those clouds coming in from the west as I was quickly setting up pre-sunset to get this side of the lighthouse. Thank you! --Jim--
