Badlands - Badlands National Park

  • Title: Badlands - Badlands National Park
  • State/Province/Region: South Dakota
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Interstate 90
  • Nearest Town: Wall
  • Brief Directions: From Wall on Interstate 90, take Highway 240 south and east through Badlands National Park. Highway 240 makes a loop through the park and back out to Interstate 90.
  • Notes: I like springtime in the Badlands, as there are many storms that roll through and there are frequent pockets of sunlight that occassionally poke through the clouds, making for dramatic light on the hills.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Gear: Tripod, polarizer filter and graduated ND filters
