Panorama Point (and Surrounding Area), Badlands National Park

  • Title: Panorama Point (and Surrounding Area), Badlands National Park
  • State/Province/Region: South Dakota
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: I-90
  • Nearest Town: Wall
  • Brief Directions: Highway 240, along with I-90, makes a loop through the park with several dirt roads leading off in various directions. From the east, take exit 131 at Cactus Flat; from the west, exit 110 at Wall.
  • Notes: Just before sunset the sun dropped below a thick layer of clouds, illuminating the park with intense and fantastic light, perhaps the best I have ever witnessed. Be prepared to get up very early and stay out well past sunset!
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Gear: Tripod, polarizer, grad NDs and sunblock

Another nice image Andy. You have very nice work of the Northeast Seascapes. I've enjoyed a number of your images with inspiration. Thank you for sharing them!

A very "Regal" capture Lorenzo; with nice vivid colors. He looks like Royalty to me!
