Ocoee Rush

  • Title: Ocoee Rush
  • State/Province/Region: Tennessee
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Ocoee National Forest
  • Nearest Town: Ducktown
  • Best Season: Winter
  • Description: The Ocoee River on the Georgia-Tennessee border was home to the 1996 Olympic white water kayaking events. This shot was taken earlier this winter, when the weather was still in the low 40's. As cold as it was, the kayakers were already suiting up and this rock appeared steadfast in the middle of the rushing water.

Thanks Laura!! I walked into this little slot canyon till it was completely dark and thought I'd sort of found nothing much…then turned around and saw THIS. I was gem for sure.

Wow, just beautiful! The light is perfect and I love the curve of the tree and the lines of the canyon wall.
