Brief Directions: Go south on Hwy 411 from Etowah about 5 miles. Turn left on Spring Creek Road. About 1 mile and your in the Cherokee National Forrest
Notes: This is a beautiful wilderness area on the western end of the Cherokee National Forrest. There is a nature trail that provides many opportunities for waterfall pictures along Gee Creek. The hiking gets a little difficult the further you go in the gorge.
Going past Gee Creek is another wet weather waterfall opportunity. Along this same path you will also find a well known local rock climbing area. This trail is more difficult but yeilds great opportunities for beautiful mountainside shots atop the cliffs.
