Notes: This photo was taken on Thanksgiving, Autumn comes late in this part of the State. On a good year the cypress trees will display a vibrant orange color and southern sugar maple trees are abundant as well.
Description: Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area lies within the Davy Crockett National Forest in the East Texas Pineywoods Region. The 19 mile 4c trail may be accessed from the campground here and a number of other hiking opportunities are available in the area as well.
