For this particular windmill, winter is the best time for sunset shots as the sun is in the Southern Hemisphere and thus behind the windmill, lending itself to dramatic sunsets. Shooting details: 01/18/2010, 6:05 PM Canon EOS 7D, 1/4 sec, f/11, 235mm (EF70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM), ISO 100, Mirror Lockup, Tripod
  • Brief Directions: Take I-35W south from direction of downtown Fort Worth towards Bureleson. Exit at FM 1187. Go west on FM 1187 11.1 miles to shooting location, which is on the SW side of the road.
