Desert Summer

  • Title: Desert Summer
  • State/Province/Region: Utah
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Monument Valley, UT
  • Nearest Town: Kayenta, AZ
  • Brief Directions: Highway 160 in NE Arizona then go north from Kayenta, AZ on highway 163 for about 20 miles to the Monument Valley Park entrance.
  • Notes: There are many wonderful areas to photograph in Monument Valley in the Arizona and the Utah area. Guides are available from The View Hotel and Garland's Motel and I would advise hiring one if you haven't been there before.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Description: This beautiful area of Monument Valley has a lot of green bushes and monument rocks around it. I love the warm tones of the desert ground and rocks, the blue sky and green bushes. Long shadows were cast in the early morning
  • Gear: Canon 7D with Canon IS lenses and a tripod
