  • Title: Storm_at_the_wash_sm_file
  • State/Province/Region: Utah
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Hurricane
  • Brief Directions: Drive to Hurricane city in southern Utah. Take 600 north going west untill you come to the wash. You can't miss it.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: In the city of Hurricane, Utah 600 north crosses a wash that runs to the Virgin river. It is lined with cottoonwood trees and is home to a large aray of flora and fauna that gravitate to the water it provides. During a stormy night I was driving around looking for new places to get pictures after I had gotten a few from my favorite locations. I stopped here and walked down to where I could look across at the trees and the lightning behind them. I was interested to see that the lightning seemed to strike in nearly the same place on the ridge to the northeast time afer time.

Could not understand the low rating you got on this true beauty. So relaxing and peaceful. Nice work Erno! Lorenzo
