Duck Creek 017

  • Title: Duck Creek 017
  • State/Province/Region: Utah
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Duck Creek Pond
  • Nearest Town: Cedar City
  • Brief Directions: Snow smooths the contours of Duck Creek's banks and meadow, offering a pristine scene for our appreciation.
  • Best Season: Winter
  • Description: Duck Creek Pond is atop Cedar Mountain, near 8,500 feet elevation. In the summer, anglers wade into its waist deep pond to catch trout. In the winter, it's a snowmobiler's paradise. Before they carve trails in the snow, the banks around its feeder creek are smooth and pristine. The birch forest around it offers a bit of color for the mostly black & white scenes.
