Subway In Zion

  • Title: Subway In Zion
  • State/Province/Region: Utah
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Springdale
  • Notes: Don't forget to stop on your way back to photograph so samll springs and interesting rock formations
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Description: After securing a permit, this site is accessible after 2 to 3 hours hicking following the stream. Bets time of the day is just before noon when the sun reflects on the cliff on the opposite site. I went to this location in Fall as I knew that the light reflected in the rock facing the entrance will create the illusion of a car entering the tunnel. I used a polarizer to remove the reflection and intensify the cold color of the atmospher. I've also used a long exposure to create the whirlpool of fallen leaf in the water
