Monument Valley

  • Title: Monument Valley
  • State/Province/Region: Utah
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: 15
  • Nearest Town: Mexican Hat
  • Brief Directions: About 1 1/2 hrs south of Montecello, Utah. Highway takes you right through Monument Valley.
  • Notes: I took photos just the month before one of the "thumbs" fell off of the Mittens. Sunrise is a fantastic time to shoot. Be set up long before and catch the colors. There can be a thin layer of whispy clouds early that will turn pink and orange. DON'T MISS THEM!!
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Gear: Hot in daytime but cold at night. Take warm clothing.

"Absolutely in the right place at the right time". So very rare to see a double rainbow let alone have your camera with perfect glowing conditions.. Great capture
