Arches National Park

  • Title: Arches National Park
  • State/Province/Region: Utah
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Hwy 191
  • Nearest Town: Moab
  • Brief Directions: Arches is located on Hwy 191 which is about 30 min. south of interstate 70 in eastern Utah.
  • Notes: The colors of the redrock at dusk or dawn is truely a magnificent sight in person. Plan on getting out plenty before dawn to allow some time for set up. Don't folrget a jacket because it is somewhat cold in the morning during Spring. Let yourself get lost too. I found many interesting things that you don't see in the brochures. Also visit Dead Horse State Park & Canyonlands National Park since they are only about 30 min. southwest on Hwy 313. They are spectacular places to see also.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Gear: Hiking boots, flashlight, water, light jacket
