Silver And Gold

  • Title: Silver And Gold
  • State/Province/Region: Virginia
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Shenandoah National Park
  • Nearest Town: Front Royal, Virginia
  • Brief Directions: From Front Royal head south on Rt. 340 to the entrance to the park on the left.
  • GPS Longitude: 38.83603
  • GPS Latitude: -78.203762
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Description: Captured along the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park this past autumn. The weather, unlike the previous sunny day, was supposed to be a cold front filled, nasty day. Just what I had hoped for. As the sun popped in and out through the rapidly moving clouds, beams of light traveled across the valley floor like giant searchlights from the heavens.

Very nice set of "Arches" Stephen. Wasn't sure, but thought someone said one of the famous landmarks fell? Really enjoyed the "Double Windows" when there!

That moose is a "spike" i.e. a very young juvenile, probably on his first year away from mom. His antler's will fill out further in the next few years.
