Best Season: Winter
Description: I took this image in Johnson DeBay Swan reserve which was established by the Wa. Fish and Wildlife for wintering swans. It is planted with corn each year...and then when the hunting season is over for snow and brant geese and ducks in late January...the corn is knocked down...and trumpeter swans and thousands of ducks converge on the reserve each morning to feed. The Skagit River runs adjacent to the reserve...which is the overnight roosting area for most of the swans.
