At the time that we were there, half the state was on fire including the mountains here just off to the right - that is what is creating the "fog" look - Smoke. It turned out to be one of my favorite shots! ^_^

whoa........... Gorgeous portrait. I've never seen a reddish egret. I'm about to move to Lakeland, FLA. this Summer. I hope to see one of these beauties first hand. So sad to know this one cannot...
