Brief Directions: Take Highway 20 West from Winthrop Washington until you get to the Ross Lake Resport Trail Head. Hike approx. 1 mile down to the lake, take the shuttle to the Resort, and then either hike or paddle to Big Beaver. It is 4 miles by water or 7 by land.
Notes: Wonderful area. The area around Beaver Creek is a temperate rain forest with glaciers on several of the peaks around the area. Good wildlife photo opportunities as well as landscape.
Best Season: Autumn
Gear: Good footwear, rain gear, tripod, polarizer

Thanks Lorenzo for the kind words on Oregon. I thought I'd share this shot also of Kauai. I know Laura is planning a trip there, so I tried to add some images for her to take a look at!
