I took this photographs with one of my favorites lens, the fish eye lens to capture the beautiful colors of the sunrise in a cold morning in Wisconsin to get a different perspective to show the curved horizon on the frame as well to show that the earth is round ,also to show the textures on rocks on the shoreline and "the sticks" covered with ice, these sticks are the reminds of the an old pier that existed long time ago as well .

Thanks Alena and David! I took a lot of shots of this landscape, but placing a person in the shot imparted the sense of amazement and exhilaration I was trying to capture. Merry Christmas!

Exhilarating photo Laura! Being in the foreground gives the viewer the sense of how vast and spectacular our earth is. The image also allows for the outdoor photographer to reflect back on times...
