Leave the Green River Lakes Trailhead, and go 7 miles in nearly 2000 feet up into the Bridger Wilderness.
Don't forget to stop at Slide Creek Falls. Slide Creek cascades down a tilted slab of granite for nearly 300 vertical feet.
After the standard late afternoon/early evening isolated thunderstorm in the northern Wind River Range (and a nap in the tent), the sky to the west opened up and let in this most magnificent light. Lost Eagle Peak above Wyoming's Slide Lake is shown painted with the evening sun.
