My friend had given me a Tiger Lilly bouquet. They were so striking that I was compelled to take a series of telephoto macro photographs. I positioned the camera close so that only part of a single flower would fit in the viewfinder, which added to the sense of majesty of the Tiger Lily flower. Later I used photoshop to make a more abstract photograph by putting two slightly different photographs of the Tiger Lilly into two different layers. For the first layer, I set the blending mode to overlay with 50% opacity. For the second layer, I left the blending mode at normal with 50% opacity. The resulting image was a more abstract photograph of the Tiger Lilly.
