Park at the End of East Ashley Avenue and walk along the former coast guard station until reaching the beach, turn left and climb over the rocks to get to the other side of the groin. Picture taken from approximately 32.684704, -79.885909

An early April storm rolled through on a lazy Sunday. The groyne is the only thing holding back the turbulent sea as this photo was taken. A flock of pelicans can be seen far off in the distance, with a laughing gull clearly in frame. I enjoyed the detail of the wood and the stark contrast of water on one side and relatively dry sand on the other.
