At the mouth of the Columbia River on the Oregon Side, USA. 3 hours south of Seattle, WA and I'm guessing about 2 hours NW of Portland, OR.
35mm, f/13, 1/125 & 1/80 sec, ISO 400, Canon 5DIII, Canon EF 16-35 f/4L, Oben CT-3521 Carbon Fiber Tripod With BE-106T Ball Head (this is a great travel tripod), Vello Freewave wireless shutter release. Processed in Lightroom CC using Merge to HDR with auto-toning and medium ghost removal. Had to use a Lightroom graduated filter to darken the sky a bit because I forgot to put my Lee filter holder on my lens and I was going to lose the shot (i.e. no time to get the ND grad set up) so I decided to make multiple exposures and combine in post.
The sun just about to dip below the horizon beyond the Astoria-Megler bridge over the Columbia River in Astoria, Oregon, USA. Taken on the evening of August 26th, 2016 as we took an evening stroll along the river front on the Oregon side of the river just east of downtown. This is an HDR composite of two exposures.
