It's not often that Sedona, just two miles north of Phoenix, AZ, gets a good amount of snow, and when it does, it quite often will melt off before the end of the day. This photograph was taken from the Airport Mesa Overlook above Sedona quite a few years ago on New Year's Day. It not only brought out the photographers, but many Phoenicians traveled north to play in the snow for their very first time. The rock formations provide many hiking trails in the Red Rock Wilderness. The one on the end is well known as Coffee Pot Rock.
