Before we moved to Toronto we lived in the small Connecticut village of Chester, a quaint artisan town on the Connecticut River. I had photographed the section of the river close to our home in all seasons and different times of day and night. I wanted an early morning image complete with clouds, colorful sky, and fog over the water. The morning of this image I woke and saw the clouds - it was like a fire alarm went off in our house. My husband quickly put the dogs out and got the car while I got my gear. Three minutes later we arrived at the river and I set up and fired a few shots before the sky got too bright.
