Traveling to and from Tanzania from the US is a long journey involving multiple flights of extended duration. Once there we arose before dawn each morning in hopes of putting ourselves in the right spot to catch that special golden light over all of the beauty and wilds of African bush country. Sunrises and sunsets over the plains are spectacular and unique each day. On this morning I captured the sun from Ndutu as it rose over the rim of the Ngorongoro crater. There happened to be a number of Zebras grazing in the distance which provided scale to the enormity of the crater wall as well as the sun. January 30, 2017
