Description
The rule-of-thirds' prompts in this scene from New York City's elevated park and gardens (the High Line) were hard to miss, and they helped deliniate the landscape and cityscape elements in the resulting photo. Since the building lines were so strong and geometrical, I bent the rule a bit in the lower third of the image by allowing the park's railing to run at a diagonal. Hopefully, this created some additional interest and highlighted the wilder elements of the flowers in the foreground.
Thanks for looking!
