Description

After a week of shooting Yosemite's iconic waterfalls & mountains from various perspectives, I found myself yearning for a unique view. When I found myself down at the Merced River, looking across at the iconic majesty, I couldn't help but look down & see the moraine debris at my feet. The fallen log was enormous and so provided a unique foreground for this photo. Although I usually try to eliminate any unnatural elements, the writings on the log provided a contrast between the ancient views & Yosemite today. Perhaps the petroglyphs of the future? Shot on a Canon 7d mark ii, Sigma 10-20mm, IOS 200, f16, 1/40 sec, 16mm, tripod
