The weather in spring in the West Virginia mountains varies tremendously over the course of a day. This photo was taken on the second day of my time in the Seneca Rocks area. On the first day, cloud cover kept the rocks and trees in shadows, but when I returned late in the day on the second day, the sun was out. Clouds were rapidly moving through the area, and the clouds behind Seneca Rocks changed by the minute. The trees in the foreground were lit by the sun, highlighting the great spring colors of the flowering trees in this area.
