Take Highway 28 along the east side of Tahoe. Just south of Sand Harbor is some parking. Park and follow trails down to the shore, where Bonsai Rock can be found.
Lake Tahoe is known for its size, clarity, blue waters, and the granite boulders that line its shore. There is one granite boulder that has become quite well known. Referred to as "bonsai rock" due to the small bonsai-like conifers growing from its crevices, it draws visitors throughout the year who seek inspiration from marveling at this unusual feature.
