While driving through the pristine wilderness on I-90 in northern Idaho, you take exit 43 in the direction that leads to Murray, Idaho. Miles of wilderness lie ahead for one who is willing to explore.
Photography for me has always taught me to see things differently. I was driving along the river road that I had spent my entire life exploring. On this particular spring day, I noticed the vibrant green plants covering the rivers edges. I stopped near a campground that my father took me as a young boy, and admired the plants surrounding me. I pulled out my camera and began looking for compositions in the tiny world of greenery. I spent nearly an hour looking through all of the details and reminiscing of the times spent with my father. The plants were completely still, so I got away with a longer exposure as the light began to fade. I got my image and drove into the sunset as I realized I could have just as easily missed the small world that was below my feet in this tiny green forest.
