This is an iconic living statue of nature, in the four thousand year old pines in the White Mountains of California.
I faced a few obstacles in order to take this shot, though I liked the challenge!
These vertical mountains stand up to 50 to 60 degrees. At 11 thousand foot elevation, it was very difficult to separate the pine from other objects to create an acceptable composition. It is vertical in a special way, but I’m the October candy sunset and clouds helped me out!
I use wide angle lens, 24 mm shot with minimum aperture and minimum ISO.
