From US Route 2 take VT Route 232 approximately 6.5 miles to the Kettle Pond access area.
This fall (2017) was unusually warm in Vermont. This allowed me to comfortably wade around in an area of semi-shallow water to compose this scene. I was standing in thigh deep water while taking this photo. I set the camera and then had to stand very still to let the ripples I made subside before opening the shutter.
Early morning mists hugging the hills surrounding Kettle Pond in Groton, Vermont. The calm of the early morning allows a reflection of the scene on the pond's surface.
