Rivers have always been special to me. When I was 8 or 9 years old, I always waited for the summer to swim with the current of the river.
River water is always very cold, even on a hot summer day. I remember every time we chose an early summer morning to go to the river to be alone and experience nature...
I can’t find the words to explain my joy, the cold water, the trees near the shore and flora under the water. We just swam... From my memory, that was my best connection with Mother Nature.
Owens River always reminds me of those experiences, not with the trees on the shore -but with the majestic mountains around.
