An event that we rarely see in our area, ice jams. This was taken at Bear Lake in Southeast Idaho last year. These piles of ice were 20 to 30 feet tall and built up a long ways. This was the first time I have seen these in our area and with the lake thawing and the winds they had in the area, these large sheets of ice just keep building up on the shoreline. It was beautiful to see this event in person.
