Weekly photo assignments from the editors of Outdoor Photographer Magazine
While grand, sweeping landscape scenes are generally shot with a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens offers a different perspective by capturing frame-filling images of distant subjects. For this week’s assignment, put your telephoto to the test and capture some interesting landscape, nature or wildlife shots with longer focal lengths. Check out “Grand Landscapes, Intimate Details” for some inspiration, then submit your favorite captures by March 14.—Kristan Ashworth, Managing Editor
The winning images from our weekly assignments are featured on the OP Blog, as well as our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
