I camped in Teklanika Campground in Denali National Park in part so I could drive more of the dirt road through the park. Visitors who camp there are allowed to drive into the campground and then back out. When I left the campground I drove out along the park road before dawn to try and catch early morning light in the nearby boreal forest and subalpine scrub. As I rounded a bend in the park road, I saw a mix of golden scrub and trees spread along the road ahead of me. I used a 150-450 lens set at 360 mm to isolate this small part of the landscape.
