Roaming along the Eureka Sand Dunes, one often loses the sense of all our worldly things. Yes you can hear the wind, or you can hear the dunes “sing”. The motion around you could be also the sweeping of the sand, the rare coyote hunting, or your own heart thumping (as in my case).
Here I was with few friends trying to make some images and lost the sense of whether I was in the Quaternary or in recent. The sand would have been blowing up the dune face exactly the same way it did a few million years ago. With my camera in hand, I felt that way. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, came this jetliner streaking its presence in the sky and me back to the reality of the modern day world.
