I set out to photograph a Purple Sandpiper which was a life bird for me. I took a 2 mile walk to get to the beach jetties. I noticed the birds were at the bottom of the jetties and when the ocean would crash, the birds would fly up and land on the jetty rocks.
I noticed that the reflection of the blue sky was beaming down on the water on the jetty rocks. I set myself up with the early morning sun behind me and waited knowing I was also shooting hand-held. I only had a five minute window to get this shot. I was thankful it worked out and It was worth a 4 mile walk round trip.
