From Banff, take the Trans Canadian Highway North and then continue on Ice Fields Parkway to Bow Lake on left side of road
September 2017 was my first trip to the Canadian Rockies and I split my time between Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. I stopped at Bow Lake on several occasions and patience paid off on an early morning arrival to find the lake with a mirror like surface with no winds allowing me to capture the beauty of the lake with Bow Mountain reflecting in the water. I set my Nikon D810 on my Gitzo Tripod, walked into the lake just a little, and got low to capture the piece of driftwood adding perspective to the scene. I used my Nikon 17-35mm lens set to 17mm to capture the scene.
Bow Lake is a small lake in western Alberta, Canada. Water in the lake is meltwater of the Bow Glacier.
