I was hiking along the Paul Bunyan State Trail when I came upon a bridge overlooking this little pond. Due to the grasses in the pond, and the reflections in the water, I had to use manual focus to keep the lens focused on the bird. It didn't help that I had to position myself in a very uncomfortable manner to get the camera into a location to be able to shoot between the bridge's rails and supports while also keeping the camera steady. If only I could contort myself the way this bird can, the shot would have been so much simpler to get.
What a show off! Am I right?! Here I was waiting for a great shot of this beautiful bird catching a fish or a frog, and all it would do was strike the most expert yoga poses. Is there where I warn you not to try this home?
